Position Description
Position Description:
Plan, develop and manage all activities in the manufacture of heat transfer products to meet customer requirements while meeting budgetary objectives. The incumbent must have the ability to implement processes, develop the workforce and continuously improve productivity output in support of company goals while maintaining a union-free plant environment. The Operations Manger reports directly to the BUL (Business Unit Leader).
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the day to day operations of area of responsibilities including, but not limited to, planning, scheduling, staffing and machine maintenance to meet customer schedules.
Meet or exceed the assigned annual manufacturing budget.
Promote Lean Manufacturing techniques while promoting and ensuring continuous improvement.
Accomplish annual safety objectives and support safety initiatives plant-wide, i.e. lead by example.
Ensure deputy development initiatives are taking place including hourly, office hourly and salaried personnel which are in line with company objectives. These initiatives include training, quality, special projects, etc.
Encourage two-way communications and take positive steps, including recognition, to ensure the assigned hourly workforce know they are valued and have no need for third party representation.
Balance manpower with production loads and forecasts.
Remove barriers, which prevent subordinates from being effective and efficient?.promote teamwork.
Reduce OEM lead times to a level whereby market share can be increased.
Embrace and champion diversity.
Keeps superior informed of significant problems that jeopardize the achievement of objectives.
Position Requirements:
Meet, preferably exceed, annual objectives provided by BUL Operations. Communicate/align objectives throughout area of responsibility.
Manage assigned operation areas to meet production schedules to assure that products are shipped on time with due consideration for cost effectiveness and quality adherence.
Promote safety and safety accomplishments?work effectively with Safety Committee Members ? including recognition where appropriate. Minimize accidents and strive for accident-free workplace.
Ensure the effective utilization of SAP throughout operations, i.e. accuracy, timeliness, and customized reports as required for operations tracking.
Direct manpower training initiatives to accomplish department goals.
Initiative visible and productive continuous improvement programs/processes and ensure conformance to customer requirements.
Ensure operations area complies with EPA, OSHA, EEOC and other government regulatory agencies.
Support HR practices/policies. Create high employee morale and communicate with floor operators sufficient to make third party representation unnecessary.
Provide visible and quantitative support for Lean Manufacturing Techniques, ISO and quality initiatives.
Provide error free reports from department.
Support initiatives of Modine Senior Leadership team.
BA/BS degree and 5 - 8 years HVAC (preferred)/ Operations management experience, i.e. developing subordinates performance management and team work/building initiatives.
Travel: Minimal travel involved, but may be required.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
